Farmington Project about to begin...

One of the current downsides of UTA's Front Runner is that there is not many destinations along the route. At Central Station you need to take TRAX to get to shopping and restaurants. In Ogden you either have to take a bus or walk a few blocks to reach an area with restaurants. Beyond that there is nothing near the Front Runner stations except for the one restaurant in Layton.

However, ground is about to broken for the new Farmington Station property which will take the currently empty area near the Front Runner station and construct a transit oriented development. The list of stores is impressive however it is dominated by major chains. It would be nice to see some of the development set aside for locally owned businesses.

Well, I guess we have to take things one step at a time.
