Schools and Sprawl

When I attended Railvolution here in Salt Lake City in 2005, one of the sessions I attended talked about how some recommendations for designs promotes more sprawl.

Among them is the design recommendations for new schools. They are designed to encourage sprawl, make it impossible for students to walk from school and close smaller community schools in favor of "super sized schools".
