FrontRunner—Now Serving Pleasant View!

Commuter Rail Service Expands in Weber County.

What: UTA is hosting a community celebration in preparation for opening FrontRunner service to Pleasant View.

When: Saturday, September 27, 2008 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Pleasant View FrontRunner Commuter Rail Station

(2700 North Highway 89 in Pleasant View)

10:45 a.m. Inaugural ride departs to Ogden and back

11:30 a.m. FrontRunner arrives back in Pleasant View

UTA will open regular, limited service to Pleasant View on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008. To reach the Pleasant View station, UTA will operate FrontRunner trains on Union Pacific track. FrontRunner service will initially be limited to one morning train (departing Pleasant View at 6:38 a.m.) and one evening train (departing Salt Lake at 5:10 p.m.) UTA will increase service to Pleasant View around the start of 2009 as Union Pacific Railroad makes additional track and signal upgrades.
